Synopsis:
Watch as 25 top dancers (ages 18-25) from around the world compete to become LA’s next best dancer with a $100,000 grand prize, along with representation from a top dance agency,an apartment paid for a year, a car for a year, and legal representation to get their talent visa to be able to legally work with the US, and last but not least a contract touring with a top Recording Artist.
Unlike SYTYCD, this show has more of an outlet for the winner. Most winners of the show end up dancing on a tour in Canada or come to Los Angeles to enter the workforce. Well this show facilitates the transition from Canada to Los Angeles. We plan to audition across the country (Canada) looking for the best dancers, incorporating their stories for the viewers to follow. We will have a series of auditions downsizing to the 25 remaining dancers that will be chosen to fly to Los Angeles where the competition begins. The cameras continue to roll from their arrival until they are voted off the show. We see the ups and downs of each contestant all the way until the winner is chosen.
The dancers will be housed at the Famous Oakwood Corporate Apartment near Warner Bros Studio. They will meet with different industry professionals, take dance classes at LA’s top dance studios, they will have a photo shoot with a renowned photographer, meet with dance agents, meet with an immigration attorney, go through a financial seminar, go to dance auditions and dance in a music video with a well-known artist. In the midst of it all there will be eliminations, leading to the grand finale which will be a huge stage show where the final 4 contestants will compete by performing several styles of dance choreography.
