Formerly titled the World Hip Hop Festival the American Dance Summit (ADS) will unite the global dance community to celebrate the culture, and lifestyle of hip hop, music, business but most importantly the dance along with other pertaining elements. This year, the summit will attract more than 20,000 dancers and enthusiasts from more than 15 countries. We will integrate the best dancers, the hottest YouTube stars, dance pioneers, and worldly known choreographers and dancers from every walk in life through our primary sponsor IDDb throughout their social media platform. We will assimilate the App to provide numerous experiences for competing dancers and fans to connect through several key elements. We will also implement a cross promotion campaign through the App with other affiliated cosponsors.
The app will also assist interaction of dancers worldwide, while promoting the lifestyle and associated brands. American Dance Summit’s primary focus is to benefit dancers by not only showcasing their talent, but also by teaching them more about their craft through our panel of revered dance pioneers and choreographers.

“American Dance Summit”
THE HISTORY
The History originating in the U.S. and premiering in Seoul, Korea in 1999 the Summit focuses on Hip Hop street dance styles. The main categories of competition are lockin’, popin’, freestyle and commercial hip hop with a concentration on the prominent dance style of breakin’ and b-boy crew battles. American Dance Summit will be held in Hollywood California at the Hollywood and Highland Center in the heart of Hollywood.
Our goal is to unite and educate the dance world through the American art form of Hip Hop dance, acknowledging all styles of hip hop dance as dancers from all over the world participate and gather under one roof on US soil.
Our 2016 event will have an international line up with dancers of all ages coming from countries such as Germany, Italy, Korea, Japan, China, UK, Spain, Italy, Norway, Denmark, France Czech Republic, and Australia. The main event of the American Dance Summit consist of 5 on 5 battles with groups representing their country. There will be a total of 10 crews representing their countries in attendance. (invite only – winners from global dance events worldwide) These groups will compete with routines and will battle against each other through a tiered tournament type system. Each team will try to outperform the opposite in a specific styled breakin’ category. The ADS Dj’s chooses the music. The dancers are not aware of the songs in advance and are judged by their musicality among other categories. Power moves, style, antics, charisma, and crowd pleasing (after all they are here to perform).
